Overview
Your first year in numbers, and it's a really good one.
Let's start with the big picture. The Peak Signs website launched in February 2025, so this is your very first full performance report. There's no previous year to compare against in the traditional sense, because the site simply didn't exist yet. What we're looking at instead is an incredibly strong foundation for everything that comes next.
In just over a year online, your site attracted 1,095 visitors, generated 153 quote CTA clicks, 39 form submissions and 29 phone calls directly tracked through the site. You appeared in Google search results over 5,700 times. For a brand new website with no history, no old backlinks and no authority built up over years, that's genuinely impressive.
The big turning point came in November 2025, when the Google Ads campaign we launched started delivering real volume. You can see that momentum clearly in the traffic chart below. And importantly, the organic (free) traffic from Google has been growing steadily on its own too, which tells us the SEO foundation is solid.

Growing month on month
A note on the "previous year" comparison: You'll notice we're not showing a year-on-year comparison in the usual sense. That's because the website launched in February 2025 and had no meaningful traffic before that. The data from March 2024 to February 2025 shows essentially zero visits (the site didn't exist yet). So everything you're seeing here is Year 1, and the focus is on setting a strong baseline for Year 2.
Traffic
Where your visitors came from.
Your traffic came from a few different places this year. The biggest driver was paid search (Google Ads), which we launched in late 2025 and which quickly became the main engine for new visitors. But organic search, direct traffic and referrals are all showing up too, which is exactly what you want to see. A mix of channels means you're not completely reliant on any one source.

Plain English explainer: "Organic search" means people who found you by typing something into Google and clicked your site naturally (not through an ad). "Direct" means they typed your web address in directly or had it bookmarked. "Paid search" is your Google Ads traffic. "Cross-network" is typically people who've seen your ads before on other Google surfaces like YouTube or Display.
Something worth calling out: Organic search visitors spent an average of 82 seconds on your site, which is by far the highest engagement of any channel. These are people actively researching signage in your area. They're taking their time, reading your content, and they converted well. That's your SEO working exactly as it should.
Google Search
How Google sees your business.
This is the exciting bit. Google Search Console shows us what's happening on Google before people even click your website, so we can see how many times you appeared in search results, how often people clicked, and where you're ranking for different search terms.

Avg. Position
What these numbers mean: Impressions is how many times your site appeared in a Google search result. Clicks is how many times someone actually clicked through. Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of people who saw you and clicked. Average position is where you ranked on average, with position 1 being the top result. Position 19 means you're typically appearing on page 2 or 3 of Google for most terms. The good news is that for Year 1, this is completely expected, and it's only going in one direction.

Top Pages by Impressions
Your most visible pages in Google
Opportunity flag: "signage geelong" is your highest-impression keyword with 547 appearances in Google, but only 2 clicks (0.4% CTR). This means Google is showing you for this search, but people aren't clicking. This could be a ranking or title/description issue, and it's a big opportunity to improve. Same story for "digital signs geelong" (151 impressions, 0 clicks) and "car wrapping geelong" (53 impressions, 1 click). These are searches where real local customers are looking for exactly what you do, and we're getting in front of them. With a bit of work, we can get more of those clicks.
Referrals & AI Traffic
Who's sending visitors your way.
Referral traffic means visitors who came to your site by clicking a link on another website (not from Google search, not from an ad). It's a smaller part of your traffic at this stage, but it's there, and it tells us your online presence is starting to spread. We also keep an eye out for traffic from AI tools, because this is becoming increasingly relevant.
Referral Sources

-

Referral volume is small this year, which is completely normal for a new site. As your Google Business Profile, local directories and industry listings grow, this number will increase.

Not yet appearing in referral data
We didn't see AI tool referrals in your data this year, which is expected for a brand new site. As your SEO authority builds and more people ask AI tools about signage in the Geelong/Surf Coast area, you'll start appearing in those answers. It's one of the reasons consistent content and strong SEO pays off in the longer term. We'll keep an eye on this for you.
Leads & Engagement
The actions that really matter.
Traffic numbers are interesting, but what really counts for Peak Signs is people taking action. Submitting a quote request, clicking to call, or hitting the enquiry form. Here's how that looked this year, and honestly, it's a really solid result for Year 1.

Tracked this year
8 confirmed "Thank You" page visits were recorded too. The "Thank You" page is where someone lands after successfully submitting your enquiry form, so those are confirmed form completions we can track with certainty.
Page Views by Page
Where visitors spent their time on your site
The Quick Quote page got 203 views this year. That's a huge number of people who got as far as the quote page. Of those, 39 completed a form submission. That's about a 19% conversion rate on the quote page itself, which is excellent. The bigger opportunity is the 64 people who started the form but didn't finish it. We can look at ways to make that form a bit smoother or shorter to capture more of those people.

Opportunities
Here's what we'd love to tackle next.
These aren't obligations, just ideas we think could make a real difference for Year 2. Some are quick wins, some are bigger projects. If any of these feel like the right direction, just give us a shout and we'll put something together.
Crack "signage geelong" properly
547 people searched this term and your site appeared, but only 2 clicked through. With a stronger title tag, meta description and some targeted content on this keyword, we could turn those impressions into a lot more free traffic. This one is worth prioritising.
Fix the Traditional Hand Painted page CTR
This page is getting 611 impressions in Google, the highest of any single page, but only 1 click (0.16% CTR). It's ranking but not converting searchers. A refresh of the page title and description, plus stronger on-page content, could unlock a lot of free enquiries from people actively searching for hand painted signage.
Streamline the quote form
63 people started filling out a form this year, but only 39 finished. That's a 38% drop-off. Even reducing the form to fewer fields, or adding a bit of reassurance text, could get more of those people over the line and into your inbox.
Build out the gallery
The gallery page got 217 views this year and is one of your most visited pages. For a signage business, people want to see your work before they pick up the phone. Adding more recent project photos, especially vehicle wraps and shop signage, could really strengthen this page as a conversion tool.
Target Geelong car wrap searches
Searches like "car wrap geelong", "car wrapping geelong" and "vinyl wrap geelong" are generating impressions and you're already ranking for some of them. A dedicated vehicle wrapping page with strong local content could significantly increase your share of this traffic.
Google Business Profile optimisation
Your Google Business Profile is one of the most powerful tools for local service businesses. Regular posts, more photos, and encouraging happy customers to leave reviews can dramatically increase how often you appear in Google Maps results and local search. It's free and the return on it is massive for businesses like yours.
